Project Control Manager (Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Provide direct oversight, coaching, and support to Project Controls Specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement project management standards in cost, schedule, scope, WBS, risk, and issues management to ensure goals are met on time and within budget.
• Perform independent project assessments to ensure compliance with the Stage Gate Process (SGP) and industry standards.
• Prepare and maintain cost reports, validate Estimate to Completion/At Completion forecasts, and conduct contingency analyses.
• Execute schedule analytics to evaluate quality, assess progress, and monitor contractor compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers to identify and mitigate risks and manage the Change Management process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or 8 years of equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 6 years of capital project controls experience in utility new gas generation or process industries (O&G, refining, chemicals, mining).
• Experience managing projects of $300M or larger in size.
• Expert proficiency with scheduling software packages and spreadsheet-based analytics.
• Must be willing and able to work on-site at the Woodlands, TX office.
• Physical ability to perform field walkdowns across rough terrain and lift 25lbs overhead.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience in power generation, transmission, distribution, or nuclear projects.
• Experience with projects executed under various contract agreements, including EPC.
• Professional certifications from PMI and/or AACEi.
• Demonstrable experience working on construction sites, engineering offices, or fabrication sites.
