Salary: $125,000 - $170,000 USD

What you will do

• Design, build, and qualify tests and test equipment for propulsion systems with a focus on automation.
• Perform component and system level design, analysis, and trade studies for test equipment.
• Develop and execute detailed component and system level test plans.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to balance stakeholder requirements with cost and schedule constraints.
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing new teammates for the growing engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or physics.
• 3+ years of industry experience with propulsion system testing.
• Familiarity with Range Safety standards and industry requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
• Must be onsite 5 days a week in San Francisco.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and operating spacecraft propulsion systems, particularly low thrust or green monopropellants.
• Proficiency in Python (Numpy, Scipy), C++, and Git.
• Knowledge of manifold manufacturing, welding, and weld inspection standards.
• Familiarity with propellant material compatibility and technical standards.
