GNSS Engineer (Satellite Navigation)

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity

A navigational intelligence company developing Pulsar, a low-Earth-orbit satellite positioning, navigation, and timing infrastructure for centimeter-level accuracy, reliable timing, and power-efficient device positioning.

What you will do

• Design and conduct live-sky test campaigns demonstrating Pulsar capabilities.
• Execute time-sensitive analyses related to low-Earth-orbit positioning, navigation, and timing.
• Analyze GNSS performance, timing, positioning, and related applications.
• Prepare technical resources and materials for Pulsar-based positioning, navigation, and timing.
• Lead detailed GNSS research and contribute to white papers, internal reports, and technical documentation.
• Support hardware testing, laboratory validation, field testing, and GNSS simulator activities.

Requirements

• Strong background in GNSS systems engineering, including measurement and position engine development.
• Experience analyzing GNSS performance in different environments using Python, C, C++, or MATLAB.
• Hands-on experience with GNSS test equipment and laboratory signal validation.
• Ability to work independently on complex research problems and support occasional rapid-turnaround technical assessments.

• Effective technical writing, presentations, collaboration, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in aerospace, electrical, geomatics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of GNSS experience.
• Practical experience with Linux-based systems.
• Experience with GNSS timing, UTC traceability, precision corrections modeling, and application.
• Experience with hardware testing, field testing, and GNSS simulators.
