Senior Software Engineer (Java)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable microservices, REST, and GraphQL APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Deploy and operate cloud-native services on Azure using AKS, Functions, Cosmos DB, and SQL Database.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation via Azure DevOps and Git.
• Enhance system observability using Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor to improve reliability.
• Apply AI-enabled engineering practices for anomaly detection, incident triage, and developer productivity.
• Mentor engineers on microservices design, API standards, and DevOps best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience designing microservices and RESTful APIs in distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms and containerized deployments.
• Strong proficiency with SQL databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, and asynchronous architecture patterns.
• Knowledge of NoSQL technologies (Cosmos DB, Cassandra) or GCP.
• Experience with observability tooling like OpenTelemetry or Loki.
• Understanding of security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, and API gateway patterns.
