Senior Software Engineer (Microservices / MBFF Platform)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and event-driven integrations.
• Build secure, reliable, and performant backend services supporting mobile applications and enterprise workflows.
• Deploy and operate cloud-native services on Azure using AKS, API Management, Functions, Cosmos DB, SQL Database, and related services.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, environment consistency, and release governance through Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows.
• Improve observability with metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and service health monitoring using Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Azure Monitor.
• Define and improve SLOs, SLAs, operational health indicators, testing practices, documentation, and engineering standards while mentoring engineers and collaborating across product, architecture, security, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Java and Spring Boot development.
• Experience designing microservices and RESTful APIs for distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, including containerized deployments and managed services.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-aware development, automated deployments, TDD, JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing.
• Strong experience with SQL databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL, plus effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, asynchronous architecture, Cosmos DB, Cassandra, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and production support.
• Experience with Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, OpenTelemetry, or similar observability platforms.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and AI-driven log analysis, incident response, anomaly detection, or engineering productivity tools.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, secrets management, API gateways, mobile backend workflows, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience in Agile product teams and mentoring through design reviews, code reviews, and delivery execution.
