Senior Backend Engineer (Java/AWS)

What you will do

• Design, architect, and implement scalable backend and cloud systems for the charging network.
• Lead technical direction by authoring RFCs and shaping long-term platform evolution.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, design sessions, and code reviews.
• Identify risks and gaps proactively to prevent production incidents.
• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven components.
• Own on-call responsibilities and maintain high standards for production health.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack software development.
• Deep expertise in Java/Spring and modern ecosystem tooling.
• Strong command of AWS services (Kafka, SQS/SNS, ElastiCache, Lambda).
• Experience designing and operating distributed, high-availability systems.
• Solid fundamentals in database design, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Clear, confident communication in English.

Nice to have

• Experience in EV, mobility, or IoT domains (OCPP protocols).
• AWS Professional or Specialty certification.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot or ReactJS.
• Prior involvement in scaling engineering teams or establishing practices.
