Salary: $153,300–$169,500

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in designing and maintaining flight and mission simulators.
- Modernize legacy codebases while implementing new features and performance optimizations.
- Integrate advanced technologies like VR and real-time systems into existing simulation platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to align software development with project goals.
- Manage projects using Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges in real-time environments to maintain system stability.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is strictly required due to government contract regulations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in C++, C, Python, or C# with experience in real-time or embedded systems.
- Expertise in simulation or defense systems development and legacy code maintenance.
