What you will do

• Lead and develop three engineering teams: Discovery Experience, Ordering Experience, and Front-End Platform.
• Own the front-end architecture using Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript, and Astro, including micro-frontend composition and monorepo management.
• Drive AI-native development, integrating design-to-code pipelines and AI-powered product experiences like conversational ordering.
• Oversee the entire transactional customer journey from discovery and personalization to cart, checkout, and payment.
• Define and implement standard paths for CI/CD, observability, accessibility, and performance budgets.
• Maintain a high technical bar through system design reviews and the implementation of a robust design system as infrastructure.

Requirements

• Proven track record of standing up and scaling front-end engineering organizations.
• Deep architectural expertise in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern build tools like Turborepo or Rspack.
• Experience leading multi-team web applications with micro-frontend architectures and BFF layers.
• Practical AI fluency in development workflows and AI-powered product features.
• Expertise in Core Web Vitals, real user monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Valid US work authorization is required as no visa sponsorship is provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with Module Federation, edge composition, or Islands architecture.
• Integration experience with Figma, Claude Design, or v0 pipelines.
• Familiarity with Go, Kafka, Temporal, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Cloudflare Workers and CDN optimization for edge routing.
