What you will do

• Develop and execute hardware sourcing strategies aligned with product roadmaps and long-term manufacturing goals.
• Manage daily relationships with Contract Manufacturing (CM) and Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) partners.
• Lead commercial negotiations regarding product pricing, tooling investments, and NRE expenses.
• Coordinate New Product Introductions (NPI) to ensure on-schedule launches and quality targets.
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities via value engineering and supplier negotiations.
• Monitor supplier capacity and operational risks to maintain supply continuity.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Boston, MA.
• 3+ years of experience managing outsourced manufacturing for consumer electronics.
• Proven expertise in contract strategy development, negotiation, and execution.
• Experience working with Asian manufacturers and ability to travel internationally (15%).
• Bachelor’s degree in ME, EE, IE, Business, or Supply Chain Management.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering or an MBA.
• Proficiency in speaking or reading Mandarin/Chinese.
• Strong understanding of geopolitical and global trade influences within Asia.
