Behavioral Health Group (BHG) operates Joint Commission-accredited treatment centers and provides opioid addiction treatment services.

What you will do

  • Greet patients and visitors, maintain the waiting area, and verify identification and program participation.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and authorization, communicate insurance status, and assist with insurance forms and fee-related questions.
  • Collect and account for patient fees (copays, deductibles, coinsurance), handle cash and third-party reimbursements when needed, and run weekly/monthly eligibility checks.
  • Manage patient accounts and admissions/discharges in the Central Registry, submit required reports, and maintain chart monitoring.
  • Cover the reception desk during dispensing hours: answer phones, set appointments, schedule intakes, and coordinate physician appointment scheduling.
  • Complete clerical tasks (filing, document creation), order supplies, handle errands (mailing and bank deposits), and support outreach activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience as a general office clerk with basic math, accounting skills, and cash handling experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with front desk, admissions, billing, and/or collections.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong customer service and interpersonal communication.
  • Accurate data entry and basic keyboarding skills; ability to work independently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
