What you will do

• Implement a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework across protocol, financial, and operational domains.
• Oversee and optimize risk engines, including margin requirements, liquidation protocols, and liquidity parameters.
• Evaluate smart contract architectures and protocol designs for vulnerabilities and systemic risks.
• Assess and manage counterparty risk across exchanges, market makers, and custodians.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to embed risk-aware design into new product launches.
• Architect real-time monitoring systems and dashboards to track firm-wide risk exposure.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in risk management, trading, or quantitative roles, spanning both traditional finance and crypto.
• Deep understanding of equities, derivatives (including perpetual futures), and CeFi/DeFi exchange mechanics.
• Strong familiarity with smart contract systems and DeFi risk vectors.
• Proficiency with quantitative tooling for risk modeling and simulation.
• Proven track record of owning risk decisions in high-stakes, fast-moving environments.
• Must be based in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience at a centralized crypto exchange, derivatives venue, or market maker.
• Insurance domain knowledge (D&O, crime, cyber, smart-contract coverage).
• Background in building or scaling risk functions from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with onchain analytics tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for tokenized securities.
