What you will do

• Administer and improve security operations using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID, and Conditional Access.
• Execute proactive vulnerability management, system hardening, and cloud security posture improvements.
• Lead technical investigations and triage of security incidents to drive containment and remediation.
• Provide technical input for security awareness, phishing exercises, and secure working practices.
• Support technical compliance activities, including Cyber Essentials Plus readiness and evidence gathering.
• Identify opportunities for security automation and process tuning to enhance control effectiveness.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in cyber security engineering or IT infrastructure security.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft security technologies including Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID.
• Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, and identity and access management.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIS2.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and communicate technical issues clearly.
• Experience supporting Cyber Essentials Plus or similar technical assurance activities.

Nice to have

• Relevant technical certifications such as SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, or AZ-500.
