What you will do

• Operate within a 24/7 SOC team to provide proactive defensive monitoring for diverse clients.
• Triage suspicious events and respond to alerts within established SLAs.
• Conduct detailed security investigations using SIEM, EDR, and network monitoring tools.
• Produce high-quality incident reports with actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Contribute to threat hunting projects and the implementation of new security technologies.
• Tune and improve alerts, playbooks, and automation workflows.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Birmingham, UK.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender in an enterprise environment.
• Strong proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL) for custom analytics and investigations.
• Solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including Windows and Linux.
• Deep knowledge of attack vectors, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and adversary behaviors.
• Excellent communication skills for customer-facing incident reporting and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Microsoft certifications such as SC-200 or SC-100.
• Crowdstrike certifications (CCFA).
• Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with RegEx.
