COBOL Developer (IBM i AS400)

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, test, and debug COBOL applications on the IBM i AS400 platform.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Work with DB2/400 databases and write and optimize SQL queries.
• Manage batch processing and job scheduling activities.
• Investigate production issues, monitor performance, and implement stability improvements.
• Collaborate with analysts, QA, and stakeholders while maintaining technical documentation.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL programming.
• Proven experience working with IBM i AS400 systems.
• Solid understanding of DB2/400 and SQL.
• Experience with batch jobs and transaction processing systems.
• Familiarity with AS400 debugging, performance tuning, and production support.

Nice to have

• Experience with banking or financial services systems.
• Basic knowledge of RPG or CL.
• Familiarity with system integration and data interfaces.
