Java Software Engineer - IB Portal - WB Tech @ ING Hubs Romania (Java)

Location: Bucharest - Dacia One, Romania; flexible work from home or the office

What you will do

• Design and develop new features for the Inside Business Portal and improve existing functionality.
• Write unit tests, perform code reviews and refactoring, and address technical debt.
• Discuss technical solutions directly with stakeholders and contribute to strategic deliveries.
• Work in an agile environment based on research, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Provide hands-on support when investigating production issues and outages.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional IT development experience.
• Strong server-side Java development skills and experience with Spring Boot and Spring modules or another dependency injection framework.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, Oracle, SQL, and relational modeling.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools, Confluence, Checkmarx, ServiceNow, Git, Maven, and Linux deployment environments.
• Knowledge of IT security concepts, the full software development life cycle, software development from scratch, and continuous delivery.
• Advanced spoken and written English is required. A Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in an IT-related field, is expected.
