Senior Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Kraków, Poland; hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office, or 2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years old

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications and scalable microservices.
• Build and modernize core platforms supporting the Capital Partners business and wealth management applications.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, design patterns, clean code, and engineering best practices.
• Ensure performance, reliability, security, maintainability, and compliance with SDLC practices.
• Collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews, production troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and CI/CD enhancement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Java experience in enterprise environments, including Java 17+.
• Strong expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, REST API development, and backend services.
• Experience with microservices architecture, object-oriented design, ORM frameworks, SQL, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, SDLC best practices, Git, and modern branching strategies.
• Experience with unit, integration, and automated testing using JUnit and Mockito.
• Understanding of secure coding, security scanning, logging, metrics, monitoring, tracing, and production support.
