Manual QA Engineer

TL;DR

Manual QA Engineer (SaaS/HR-tech): Ensuring the quality of a complex, data-rich B2B workforce planning platform with an accent on functional, regression, and API testing. Focus on analyzing requirements, designing test documentation, and collaborating within an Agile team to deliver high-quality software releases.

Location: Remote (Global). Must be proficient in English and Ukrainian for daily communication.

What you will do

• Analyze requirements and user stories to identify gaps and inconsistencies early in the development cycle.
• Design and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, checklists, and bug reports.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across the platform.
• Test REST APIs using Postman and utilize browser DevTools for front-end debugging.
• Log, track, and verify bugs in Jira while participating in triage with the development team.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of hands-on manual QA experience on commercial software projects.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Practical experience with Postman for API testing and browser DevTools for debugging.
• Proficiency with Jira for bug tracking and task management.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) required for daily communication.
• Ukrainian: Required for team collaboration.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to own testing areas from requirements review to release sign-off.

Nice to have

• Basic SQL skills for data verification.
• Familiarity with test automation concepts.
• Experience in B2B SaaS, HRM, or workforce/HR-tech domains.
