TL;DR
Automation Engineer (Unreal Engine): Designing and building the automation framework, tools, and workflows for an open-world multiplayer game across PC and consoles with an accent on CI/CD integration and build verification. Location: Hybrid (Cambridge, UK). Must be based in the UK or within a comfortable commuting distance of the Cambridge office.

What you will do
- Design and build automation frameworks, tools, and workflows for Unreal Engine game development.
- Identify high-impact automation opportunities to remove repetitive manual testing and improve QA coverage.
- Develop automated validation, smoke testing, and build verification systems for PC and console platforms.
- Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Build tooling for gameplay systems, asset pipelines, backend services, and release workflows.
- Create reporting and telemetry solutions to provide insights into automation health and build quality.
Requirements
- Permanent right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
- Demonstrable UE5 C++ experience for building robust automation and tooling.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Strong track record with CI/CD platforms and version control systems like Perforce.
- Deep understanding of PC and console development environments and tooling requirements.
- Experience developing tools for game development pipelines and validation workflows.
