QA Analyst (Fintech): Assessing the quality of work within Customer Operations, focusing on deep-dive technical audits of complex investigative cases and operational tasks with an accent on Financial Crime & AML. Focus on ensuring every alert and SAR is handled with the highest level of integrity and technical accuracy, aligning with FCA regulatory standards and the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).

Location: 3 days per week in the office in Cardiff

What you will do

• Conduct technical audits of end-to-end financial crime cases and customer interactions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor and assess adherence to SLAs to ensure timely risk mitigation without compromising investigation accuracy.
• Proactively identify emerging risks and procedural gaps, escalating significant findings to senior stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive Monthly Management Information (MI) reports that translate audit data into actionable business insights.
• Identify systemic trends and root causes to provide strategic feedback for training and policy updates.

Requirements

• Experienced in Financial Crime, AML, and KYC.
• Understand that a "great outcome" in FinCrime means an investigation that is technically accurate, fully documented, and compliant with FCA expectations, Consumer Duty and the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
• Skilled at delivering constructive, evidence-based feedback and explaining complex regulatory requirements.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, familiar with Quality Assurance frameworks.
• Objective with the "investigative curiosity" needed to spot what isn't there.
