What you will do

• Design and maintain backend services and APIs within a distributed cloud architecture.
• Lead technical vision, architecture decisions, and ensure platform scalability and reliability.
• Integrate HL7-based hospital schedule feeds into the platform.
• Take end-to-end ownership of production services, including monitoring and incident response.
• Drive engineering excellence by establishing best practices and quality benchmarks.
• Mentor engineers and act as a primary technical interface with stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Must be based in the EU or listed European countries.
• English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.
• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or owning complex backend domains.
• Strong expertise in system design, distributed systems, and AWS Serverless.
• Practical knowledge of NestJS and NoSQL databases.

Nice to have

• Experience with DynamoDB.
• Exposure to HL7 or healthcare data standards.
• Background in healthcare or medtech domain.
