What you will do

• Process biweekly and monthly payroll runs for employees in Mexico City.
• Verify employee data changes, including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with local regulations.
• Support documentation for tax filings and social security contributions (IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISR).
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve payroll queries from employees.
• Assist with month-end payroll close activities and reporting.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Based in Mexico City and available to work on-site.
• Full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic formulas.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion.

Nice to have

• Prior internship or coursework in payroll, accounting, or HR administration.
• Familiarity with Mexican payroll regulations (IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISR).
• Experience with HRIS or payroll software like SAP, Workday, or ADP.
• Interest in fintech or financial services.
