Head of Community (AI)

Location: US Remote. The role includes up to 30% travel and participation in in-person events, trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and team-building activities.

Salary: $175,000–$270,000 annual base salary, depending on geographic location, skills, experience, and qualifications. Equity and comprehensive benefits are also provided.

What you will do

• Represent the community function in product reviews, leadership discussions, and cross-functional decision-making.
• Design and run experiments, analyze results, and convert findings into actionable product recommendations.
• Lead, develop, and support the Community team, including geographically distributed employees at multiple career stages.
• Oversee AI-powered systems for content research, experiment design, communications drafting, and community health monitoring.
• Co-own Trust & Safety and Community Health initiatives, including AI-assisted moderation and internal tools for Leads, Reviewers, and neighbors.
• Scale the Neighborhood Leads program globally across acquisition, onboarding, training, recognition, and retention.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience managing or leading community programs at scale across multiple markets or platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to influence product and cross-functional teams from the beginning of projects.
• Experience changing and scaling functions within a 500+ person organization while navigating established processes and ambiguity.
• Deep experience with community programs, healthy community behavior, and operating across multiple markets.
• Experience leading distributed teams and developing talent at different career stages.
• Experience with or oversight of AI-assisted workflows, plus the ability to rigorously evaluate AI outputs without needing to be highly technical.
