Senior Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States; New York, NY

Salary: $190,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, automate, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure across GCP and AWS.
• Build and maintain platform tooling, CI/CD pipelines, templates, guardrails, and golden paths.
• Own developer tooling used to build, test, and deploy software.
• Improve observability, monitoring, on-call ergonomics, reliability, and MTTR using Datadog.
• Implement secure-by-default workflows covering secrets management, IAM, network security, vulnerability scanning, and container security.
• Establish infrastructure, security, and compliance practices supporting customer and industry requirements.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with GCP, AWS, Terraform, Terragrunt, Cloud Run, Fargate, and managed Kubernetes.
• Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines, guardrails, and golden paths for modern application stacks.
• Understanding of cloud security, IAM, container security, network architecture, and modern observability.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access systems supporting a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs contract.
• Experience with AI-driven development; backend coding experience with TypeScript is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting machine learning, LLM serving, or data-intensive workloads.
• Exposure to SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, or HITRUST compliance frameworks.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or paved-path tooling.
• Experience working in a fast-growing startup environment.
