Design Engineer (Automotive)

TL;DR

Design Engineer (Automotive): Developing and refining complex component designs and subsystems for automotive applications with an accent on manufacturability, assembly integration, and adherence to global design standards. Focus on creating precise math data models, performing NX analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, on-time product releases.

Location: Must be based in Toluca, Mexico. This role is hybrid and requires reporting to the office at least 3 times a week.

What you will do

• Develop, refine, and finalize design criteria and sections according to global standards.
• Create math data models and virtual layouts for complex components and subsystems.
• Apply design for assembly and manufacturability principles to part designs.
• Perform NX analysis for subsystems and document specifications within math files.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to meet product design requirements.
• Communicate project status, technical issues, and lessons learned to the design team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Automotive Design Engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in design, specifically with plastic injection molding and thermoforming.
• Proficiency in NX and Solidworks.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico; sponsorship is not supported.
