What you will do

• Develop and execute battery pack and component-level test plans for design validation and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global suppliers to translate requirements into functional battery architectures.
• Support regulatory certification activities including UL, CE, and IEC standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis, failure investigations, and risk assessments like DFMEA.
• Evaluate lithium-ion battery performance, longevity, and manufacturability under various product conditions.
• Travel to supplier sites for line audits and design reviews (up to 15%).

Requirements

• BS with 2+ years or MS with 1+ years of experience in battery systems.
• Strong understanding of lithium-ion cell design, battery chemistry, and lab instrumentation.
• Experience in battery testing, validation, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in tolerance stack analysis, mechanical GD&T, and measurement methods.
• Familiarity with Python for data visualization, analysis, and automation.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Boston, MA.

• Experience with AI tools for day-to-day task automation and quality improvement.
