What you will do
- Derive and document AC/DC electrical system requirements with multiple technical disciplines.
- Run trade studies and develop optimal electrical system architectures.
- Simulate, model, design, select, and characterize electrical components.
- Design, implement, test, and integrate electrical components and subsystems.
- Participate in cross-functional technical design reviews and support integration and test activities.
- Support project planning and provide technical leadership for junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, RF engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience, including 5+ years in power system design and design for EMI.
- Proficiency with simulation tools such as Keysight ADS, HFSS, CST, or similar.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCBA layout tools (e.g., Ansys HFSS, Genesys, CST, MATLAB, Python).
- Demonstrated expertise in electrical high-power systems (100 kW+), including C/DC, DC/DC converters, and inverter/rectifier systems.
- U.S. citizenship required (eligibility for access to classified information; subject to government security investigation).
Nice to have
- Experience with military standards (MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1399, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-464).
- Experience translating test requirements into test procedures and operating test equipment.
- Experience with root cause and corrective action investigations with internal teams and suppliers.
- Experience analyzing system requirements for military power architecture and proposal support.
- Familiarity with military or aerospace RF standards.
