What you will do
- Assemble high-reliability chassis and final assemblies using circuit cards, stand-offs, wire harnesses, soldering, and crimping.
- Perform high-reliability soldering and crimping on complex sub-assemblies; repair circuit boards, jumper wires, and wire harnesses.
- Read and execute work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, and test specifications (written and oral).
- Follow Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) procedures and maintain required cleanliness levels and traceability records.
- Support repair units and collaborate with Product Engineering on diagnosing rework for intricate models.
- Work with engineering to innovate testing procedures and suggest changes to worksheet processes; may travel to customer facilities.
Requirements
- HS Diploma (or equivalent) required; technical/vocational training valued.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical assembly and soldering.
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace or medical devices/FDA) required.
- J-STD solder certification required (NASA certification preferred).
- Ability to work directly from engineering drawings and written instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
