What you will do

• Design and implement features and services involving collaboration across multiple classes and database schema updates.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality code across TypeScript, Python, and Ruby codebases.
• Prepare and lead technical design reviews with guidance from senior leads.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
• Integrate AI and data-powered components into production systems while adhering to privacy guidelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist with team onboarding.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada and legally authorized to work in the country.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Ruby or Python.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, caching, and database optimization.
• Experience building user interfaces with modern technologies like TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.
