Senior Fund Tax Analyst (Fintech): Managing fund tax compliance and reporting within the Fund Treasurer’s Office with an accent on distribution calculations, T3 tax returns, and foreign tax compliance. Focus on executing complex tax analysis for fund events, supporting strategic initiatives, and presenting technical tax matters to senior management.
Location: Must be based in Canada and hold valid work authorization. This role follows a flexible hybrid schedule, currently based in Toronto with a transition to Mississauga in late 2026.
Compensation: $105,000–$123,000 (Total annual cash compensation including target bonus).

What you will do
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual fund distribution calculations prepared by service providers.
- Prepare and file yearly T3 Trust Income Tax Returns and applicable foreign tax returns.
- Conduct tax analysis for significant fund events such as large rebalancing and client redemptions.
- Develop internal stakeholder reporting for ETFs and documentation for foreign reclaims.
- Assist with the review of taxable positions and contribute to non-routine strategic tax projects.
Requirements
- Current work authorization for Canada is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in a tax-related role.
- Strong technical tax knowledge and proficiency with IFRS tax accounting standards.
- Advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and Taxprep software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Financial institution industry experience.
- CPA designation or Master’s of Taxation.
