TL;DR

Agile Coach (SAFe): Leading and facilitating the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure strategic alignment and continuous improvement with an accent on SAFe implementation and cross-team coordination. Focus on managing program-level risks, mentoring Scrum Masters and Product Owners, and driving performance through data-driven insights.

Location: Must be based in the New York Area (Hybrid/Remote options available).

Salary: $85,000–$145,000 USD annually.

What you will do

  • Organize and lead Program Increment (PI) Planning events to align teams on objectives and dependencies.
  • Facilitate Scrum of Scrums (SoS) and Product Owner Syncs to address impediments and manage priorities.
  • Act as an Agile Coach for teams, providing guidance on SAFe principles and Lean-Agile practices.
  • Proactively manage program-level risks and dependencies in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Utilize key metrics to track performance and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Product Management, Solution Architects, and Business Owners.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in Agile frameworks (preferably SAFe).
  • Experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or similar role supporting large-scale delivery.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills with deep understanding of Lean-Agile principles.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex dependencies.
  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Rally.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Nice to have

  • SAFe certification (e.g., SPC).
  • Additional Agile certifications such as CSM or PMI-ACP.
