What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance distributed systems in Rust for cloud-native and edge environments.
• Develop autonomy workflows supporting human-in-the-loop and human-on-the-loop operations.
• Build infrastructure for deterministic builds, reproducible environments, and secure OTA updates.
• Integrate software with hardware peripherals and buses including SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet.
• Execute comprehensive testing strategies including unit, SITL, HITL, and field-scale testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deploy and sustain systems in contested environments.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
• Professional experience in software engineering, embedded systems, or firmware development.
• Strong proficiency in Rust, including low-level or no_std environments.
• Experience integrating with microcontroller peripherals and hardware interfaces.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems, networking protocols, and modern data patterns.
• Strong communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.

• Experience developing autonomy, robotics, or human-machine-AI teaming systems.
• Experience applying machine learning techniques and classification.
• Experience with software-defined radio and industrial communications systems.
