Salary: $180,000 – $225,000 USD

What you will do

  • Own underwriting policy and execution across card merchants, A2A clients, and ISO/ISV sub-merchant populations.
  • Manage portfolio risk, including fraud monitoring, ACH return-rate performance, and chargeback operations.
  • Oversee reserve methodology, sizing, and financial exposure management.
  • Serve as the primary risk contact for financial institution partners, ODFIs, and sponsor banks.
  • Lead the integration of risk frameworks and banking arrangements following recent acquisitions.
  • Partner with the Compliance function to ensure alignment on BSA, AML, OFAC, and network compliance.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the US
  • 8+ years of experience in risk and underwriting within a regulated payments business (acquirer, payfac, processor, or A2A platform).
  • Proven experience owning sponsor bank or ODFI relationships as the accountable party.
  • Deep expertise in fraud strategy, chargeback management, and AML/KYC/KYB governance.
  • Ability to communicate complex risk concepts to executive leadership and external partners.
  • Experience leading and scaling senior teams in a high-growth environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI and automation-driven underwriting systems.
  • Background in reconciling disparate risk cultures and frameworks.
