What you will do
- Develop read-ahead materials, briefing products, and talking points for senior leadership supporting NATO High Level Group (HLG) activities.
- Organize NATO HLG High Level View (HLV) process work by collecting and analyzing data and supporting cross-coordination among NATO technical groups.
- Support NATO efforts to modernize nuclear consultations, command and control systems by drafting and analyzing related materials.
- Support engagements with NATO Allies and Basing Nations, including drafting/reviewing/commenting on working papers and interagency documents.
- Act as Action Officer for governance and administration of mutual defense agreements under the Atomic Energy Act, including support for DASW(NM) and ASW(ND-CBD) executive leadership roles.
- Review and analyze international agreements and support nuclear weapons accident and incident response policy, contingency planning, training, and after-action analysis.
Requirements
- Security clearance: Active TS/SCI
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, national security studies, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience providing SES-level support and working with international partners/institutions, including international negotiation or diplomatic experience and experience with international/bilateral treaty agreements
- Experience in the nuclear field with a basic understanding of deterrence concepts and the U.S. nuclear stockpile
- Experience drafting technically oriented documents for senior decision makers on highly classified and complex scientific, engineering, and technical topics
- Ability to travel within and outside the U.S. (15–30%)
