Salary: $118,200–$185,100 USD annually.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain an optimal lighting pipeline for missions, open-world, and cinematic spaces.
• Collaborate with environment and cinematic teams to ensure visual consistency and narrative impact.
• Create workflows, best practices, and color scripts to guide the lighting team.
• Work with technical artists to develop and improve lighting techniques.
• Mentor other lighting artists and provide constructive feedback to foster creativity and excellence.
• Manage outsource vendor briefs and review deliverables for quality and style.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a lighter in games.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Boston office.
• Strong expertise in UE5 lighting tools and pipelines.
• Deep understanding of direct/indirect light, luminance, and color theory.
• Proven ability to translate narrative beats into effective lighting scenarios.
• Portfolio demonstrating expertise is mandatory for consideration.

Nice to have

• General 3D modeling skills.
• Experience in practical lighting for film.
