Salary: $140,000–$200,000

What you will do

• Define and maintain the benchmark for lighting and rendering quality across all studio projects.
• Manage, mentor, and oversee the career progression of the lighting team members.
• Develop efficient production methodologies, template scenes, and lighting workflows.
• Collaborate with the Pipeline Supervisor to drive technical innovation and tool development.
• Troubleshoot rendering diagnostics and optimize setups for performance and visual fidelity.
• Partner with recruitment, production, and operations management to ensure project success and team growth.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in VFX lighting and rendering within a studio environment.
• Deep working knowledge of industry-standard rendering software and shader development.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams on projects of varying scales.
• Ability to perform on-set supervision when required.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills for complex rendering setups.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity from the Los Angeles office.
