Location: On-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States

Annual salary: $141,910–$200,340 USD

Work on next-generation power delivery intellectual property for AI and data center products within Intel's Data Center Group.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute research projects in analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuit techniques for power delivery IP.
  • Design and enable new IPs and features targeting improved efficiency, power density, bandwidth, and performance per watt.
  • Perform circuit analysis, simulation, design verification, testing, and debugging of fabricated circuits.
  • Research power delivery techniques that support higher input voltage, improved efficiency, compact form factors, and fast load transients.
  • Partner with engineering teams to define product requirements and assess new technology adoption.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and develop proof-of-concepts or prototypes such as test chips, while collaborating with academia and industry partners.

Requirements

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, specializing in power delivery.
  • Proficiency in switched-capacitor, inductor buck, linear, and hybrid power delivery circuits.
  • Expertise in analog electronics, semiconductor device physics, and electrical fundamentals.
  • Experience with detailed circuit design, analysis, and simulation.
  • Hands-on experience with circuit testing, signal integrity, power integrity, and analog behavior modeling.

Nice to have

  • Experience solving complex problems and developing innovative power delivery circuit techniques.
  • Scientific publications, patents, or industry collaborations demonstrating research leadership.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical teams and external partnerships.
