TL;DR
Athletic Trainer/DME Field Service Rep (Southwest VT) (Orthopedic Medical Technology): Providing patient care through measuring, fitting, educating, and supporting orthopedic bracing and durable medical equipment across physician offices, hospitals, and clinics with an accent on patient outcomes, clinical accuracy, and healthcare compliance. Focus on coordinating follow-up fittings, verifying insurance benefits, supporting physicians and patients, and managing service performance across Southwest Vermont and Northwest Massachusetts.

Location: Southwest Vermont and Northwest Massachusetts, United States. Onsite patient care in physician offices, hospitals, and clinics; travel may range from 10% to 90% without overnight travel. Applicants must already have full-time work authorization in the United States.

What you will do

  • Measure and apply orthopedic soft goods, functional braces, bone growth stimulators, and other prescribed hirify.global products.
  • Educate patients and healthcare practitioners on appropriate product use, care, and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate follow-up brace-fitting appointments and provide customer service to patients, physicians, physician assistants, and clinical staff.
  • Verify patient benefits, including pre-authorization and collection of patient responsibility.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, hirify.global, and the Sales Team while meeting assigned KPIs.
  • Follow HIPAA, healthcare regulations, compliance programs, and clinic or hospital policies.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, clinic, physician’s office, or direct orthopedic patient care.
  • Patient-care experience and a clinical rotation or internship are strongly preferred.
  • Related bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to satisfy third-party credentialing and screening requirements for hospital access.
  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance required.
  • Ability to frequently lift or move up to 60 pounds and work around airborne and bloodborne pathogens.

Nice to have

  • Board of Certification in Athletic Training.
  • Orthotic fitter, physical therapy, NBCOT, BOC Physical Therapy, or other relevant orthopedic certification.
  • Knowledge of insurance reimbursement and DME billing requirements.
