Product Development Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: San Daniele del Friuli, Friuli Venezia-Giulia, Italy; occasional short business trips required.

What you will do

• Gather project requirements through meetings with Key Opinion Leaders and support progress presentations.
• Translate project requirements into project inputs, validation requirements, and verification requirements.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings, including stack analysis, for prototypes and final products.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to move feasibility prototypes into pre-series production and address production issues using design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Prepare technical documentation for product registration and production, including drawings, change forms, test plans, and protocols.
• Maintain drawing archives and product data in the PLM system.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
• Preferably at least two years of experience in mechanical design.
• Strong knowledge of technical and mechanical drawing.
• Experience with test plans, protocols, tolerances, worst-case analysis, and FEM analysis.
• Excellent written and spoken Italian and English required.
• Teamwork, proactivity, accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the medical device sector.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to learn new tools and skills.
