Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. The role requires travel to contract manufacturing locations for 25–90% of the time depending on production maturity, including possible international travel.

What you will do

• Lead the introduction, development, and ramp-up of new contract manufacturing sites and production capabilities.
• Execute New Product Introduction activities and manage manufacturing readiness from prototype through full production.
• Direct contract manufacturer relationships, track progress, and drive delivery against project timelines.
• Coordinate prototype manufacturing, including purchasing, logistics, schedules, and budgets.
• Create and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, quality control plans, and manufacturing bills of materials.
• Support design for manufacturability reviews, packaging requirements, KPI development, cost reduction, and quality initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Broad industrial engineering and manufacturing experience within an OEM or Tier I supplier environment.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, particularly high-volume, low-mix production.
• Experience driving automation solutions for metal fabrication and component integration.
• Knowledge of OEE, yield, manufacturing KPIs, APQP or stage-gate release processes, ISO 9001, and TS 16949.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent education, with the ability to travel to contract manufacturing locations on short notice.
