Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Cortland, New York, United States; onsite

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Support manufacturing operations for filtration products by improving safety, ergonomics, productivity, and process efficiency.
• Participate in and lead small teams during continuous improvement events.
• Identify and develop production, assembly, and testing processes and procedures.
• Generate, revise, and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
• Reduce process variation and waste, create standard work, and optimize cell design to address quality and process issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project management, operations, quality, and safety teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience in manufacturing, process, electrical, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
• Experience identifying and implementing improvements to processes, tools, and tooling.
• Ability to implement process improvements with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with all levels of the Cortland plant to support on-time customer delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PLC programming.
