What you will do

• Adjust and resolve complex mid to high-severity claims, including all phases of litigation
• Draft complex coverage letters (including reservation of rights and denial letters) with minimal supervision
• Review and analyze claim documentation and legal filings
• Drive litigation best practices to lead defense strategy on litigated files
• Investigate, negotiate, and use alternative dispute resolution to improve claim outcomes
• Mentor team members and accurately document claim files in line with company policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 6+ years of Professional Liability and/or Specialty/Financial lines claims handling experience
• Advanced knowledge of coverage within the role’s specialty/focus
• Advanced knowledge of litigation process and strong negotiation skills
• Proven ability to positively affect complex claim outcomes through investigation and negotiation
• Experience mentoring and training other claims examiners
• Adjuster licensing required within 90 days of employment
