What you will do

• Own the consumer electronics and radio product compliance and certification roadmap across the hardware portfolio.
• Determine applicable directives, standards, and authorities per product variant and target market.
• Select and manage relationships with accredited test labs and notified bodies.
• Author evidence packages and technical files, and sign off on Declarations of Conformity.
• Run ongoing surveillance and change-impact assessments across the portfolio.
• Partner with engineering and flight test teams to flag compliance risks early in the design process.

Requirements

• 8 to 15 years of experience in product compliance and certification at a hardware scale-up.
• Direct experience with RED, EMC, Low Voltage, and Machinery Directives and their harmonized standards.
• Proven track record of managing accredited-lab and notified-body relationships.
• English fluency required; French strongly preferred for local site and DGAC interface.
• Programme-management mindset with the ability to track parallel workstreams and escalate risks.
• Experience shipping 2 to 3 multi-radio hardware products through full certification.

Nice to have

• Defense airworthiness exposure (EMAR 21, STANAG 4671, DGA/DSAE).
• Experience in commercial drone or UAV companies like DJI, Skydio, or Parrot.
