What you will do

• Lead and provide direction to the manufacturing engineering team at the Rochester site, including employee selection and training.
• Establish group objectives and develop long-range plans for the improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Oversee tooling activities, review proposals for new processes, and develop M&E specifications.
• Conduct safety risk assessments and oversee machine qualifications and gage R&R/MSA activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Product Engineering, and UAW leadership to address business issues.
• Develop capital estimates for business cases and work with purchasing to source equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering and/or manufacturing/maintenance leadership experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with GD&T and developing manufacturing process documentation (PFD, PFMEA, PCP).
• Knowledge of metal forming, welding, plastic molding, brazing, and leak testing.
• Proficiency in CAD (Solidworks) or machine programming (Rockwell).
• Experience with robotics and vision systems.
• Safety certifications and experience developing business cases.
