Director of Loan Closing and Execution (Real Estate)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least four full days each week in the advertised office.

What you will do

• Lead documentation, closing, and syndication for commercial real estate loans.
• Coordinate external counsel and ensure loan documents meet internal policies and credit standards.
• Oversee legal, environmental, engineering, and third-party due diligence.
• Identify and resolve transaction risks and structuring issues with originations, portfolio management, and advisors.
• Drive execution through status calls, checklists, stakeholder coordination, investment committee input, and compliance oversight.
• Manage funding and closing processes and support post-closing modifications, restructurings, and workouts.

Requirements

• Degree in Law, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong experience in loan origination, execution, and capital markets, ideally in real estate credit.
• Deep knowledge of commercial mortgage lending, loan documentation, and due diligence.
• Ability to assess risk independently and drive solutions in complex transactions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proven experience working with external counsel and cross-functional teams.

• LLM, JD, or MBA.
