Location: Fully remote, with a strong preference for Austin as a home base

What you will do
- Own financial and operational performance across a growing multifamily portfolio, driving NOI, cash flow, occupancy, collections, and expense control.
- Build and enforce a best-in-class asset management operating system across assets, teams, and third-party property managers.
- Develop asset-level strategies (hold/sell analysis, capital planning, renovation pacing, lease trade-out targets, and turnaround plans).
- Run weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reviews and create rigorous reporting packages for leadership, investors, and lenders.
- Lead lender strategy and negotiate agency debt placement, refinancing, covenant compliance, reserve negotiations, and complex loan workouts.
- Use AI and emerging technology to automate reporting, improve operating visibility, and surface anomalies; support capital formation by presenting asset management capabilities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in asset management, structured finance, principal investing, or multifamily portfolio operations with direct asset-level accountability.
- Proven track record placing agency debt and negotiating complex restructurings, extensions, or loan workouts.
- Deep fluency in property-level financials (e.g., T12 analysis, rent rolls, variance analysis, budgeting, reforecasting, and return optimization).
- Strong experience overseeing third-party property management firms and holding teams accountable to measurable operating standards.
- High proficiency with Excel and real estate financial modeling (scenario/sensitivity analysis, capital planning, and business plan tracking).
- Based in Austin or willing to make Austin a frequent operating hub while working fully remote with high autonomy and standards.
