Staff Accountant

TL;DR

Staff Accountant (GAAP): Support financial closing by preparing journal entries, performing general ledger account reconciliations, and producing daily cash and P&L accrual reporting with an accent on accurate account analysis and timely deadline-driven communication. What you will do

• Prepare and load journal entries and support financial closing requirements.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Prepare account analysis, including research and compilation of findings.
• Prepare daily cash journal entries and related reporting.
• Support P&L accrual estimates and allocations by location.
• Assist with fixed asset capitalization and accounting adjustments; support documentation and ad hoc assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Good understanding of accounting theory and GAAP.
• 2-3 years of prior experience in an accounting role.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication, research, and attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly learn new software and adapt to change.
