TL;DR

NIHL Claims Handler (Insurance): Managing end-to-end Noise Induced Hearing Loss claims for major clients with an accent on evidence gathering, liability assessment, and settlement negotiation. Location: Must be based in Glasgow and hold British Citizenship due to national security requirements.

What you will do

  • Handle allocated claims from cradle to grave, including investigation and evidence gathering.
  • Prepare detailed reports advising on legal liability, quantum, and resolution tactics.
  • Negotiate settlements within agreed authority limits while maintaining proactive communication.
  • Liaise with Disclosure teams for MOD services and adhere to documented procedures.
  • Regularly review and maintain proper reserves for assigned cases.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and stay updated on industry changes.

Requirements

  • Must hold British Citizenship to be eligible for this position.
  • Proficiency in managing claims from cradle to grave.
  • Understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and the Claims Portal.
  • Ability to manage a personal caseload effectively.
  • Strong collaborative skills and commitment to customer service.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and versatility in a professional environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with the investigation of Liability Claims.
  • Experience managing NIHL (Noise Induced Hearing Loss) claims.
  • Knowledge of how to value injury claims.
  • Familiarity with reserving strategies.
