What you will do

• Own and develop platform infrastructure strategy, mapping needs, making architectural calls, and owning outcomes.
• Drive build vs. buy assessments and advocate for the right tools across a complex infrastructure estate.
• Design and implement foundational systems that reliability, scalability, and operational maturity depend on.
• Create and maintain internal documentation and decision records; participate in architectural forums.
• Define requirements and influence technology choices across the engineering organization.

Requirements

• Production platform engineering experience at scale (not just consuming existing systems).
• Deep distributed systems knowledge: consistency/availability tradeoffs, failure cascades, backpressure, and graceful degradation.
• Strong Go proficiency with experience building and shipping production systems.
• Multi-cloud architectural experience across AWS, GCP, and/or Azure with real production tradeoff decisions.
• Experience defining requirements and driving technology choices across engineering teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including design docs and postmortems in a globally distributed team.
