What you will do

• Perform and verify complex electrical calculations including grounding, conduit fill, and lightning protection.
• Design and check physical substation layouts, control shelters, and outdoor lighting systems.
• Create and manage material lists for major and minor substation equipment.
• Provide technical guidance to field staff, project managers, and customers regarding design specifications.
• Coordinate problem-solving efforts between design teams and various departments.
• Travel periodically to project meetings and active construction sites for testing and inspection.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Pineville or Lafayette, Louisiana.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Mathcad, and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess a clean driving record for company vehicle operation.
• Ability to work outdoors on active construction sites for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD, CDEGS, CYMCAP, or SAP-2000.
• Knowledge of lightning protection and insulation coordination design.
