Finance Manager

TL;DR

Finance Manager: Ownership of month-end finance operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, and forecasting, with an accent on building and embedding scalable finance processes while supporting the CFO with analysis for business decisions. Focus on producing monthly management accounts and performance reporting, driving finance transformation initiatives (including systems enhancements), and managing cash flow and working capital.

Location: Hybrid (Central London offices)

Salary: £70,000–£85,000 per annum

What you will do

• Own the month-end process, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Manage and train a junior accountant covering AP/AR duties.
• Partner with the CFO and founders to provide data and financial analysis for business decision-making.
• Produce monthly management accounts, financial statements, and performance reporting for leadership.
• Drive process improvements and support finance transformation initiatives, including systems enhancements and implementation projects.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and short-term financial planning; act as the primary contact for external auditors and ensure regulatory/statutory/compliance requirements are met.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• At least a couple of years post-qualified experience in a hands-on finance role.
• Experience in a small to mid-size organisation and broad finance knowledge.
• Track record of process improvement and systems implementation.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive new initiatives.
