What you will do
- Translate complex product requirements into clear technical architectures and actionable design specifications.
- Identify and remove friction in the SDLC to improve lead time, cycle time, and release confidence.
- Lead cloud-native modernization efforts, guiding teams from legacy systems to resilient, containerized Azure-based architectures.
- Enable responsible AI-assisted development by establishing guardrails for agentic workflows and model integration.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers through design reviews and collaborative architectural problem-solving.
- Design and evolve API-first systems, ensuring strong contract discipline across REST, gRPC, and legacy protocols.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to commute to Hoevelaken, Netherlands.
- Proven experience leading architectural decisions in complex, high-scale systems.
- Strong background in cloud-native development and modernization strategies.
- Deep understanding of API design, contract-driven development, and system interoperability.
- Ability to influence engineering practices and team culture without formal authority.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystems and .NET environments is highly preferred.
